You can make these little cute dresses for your girls with this tutorial from Moda Bake Shop. They are not hard to make, and yes, basic sewing skills are required. It's better than paying $15 or more for a dress for each of your girls.
I made this one last year for a friend. I used two fat quarters that was on sale for $1 each and the ribbon was $1 when I used a 50% off coupon. The bird and the bottom part of the dress was from fabric scraps. It costs me only $3 bucks. Not bad!
